Apply on employer's website About the Warehouse Team Leader Role: Joining us as a Warehouse Team Leader, you'll work with the leadership team to manage the day or twilight operations in our warehouse location; the role involves leading the operation and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of newspapers and magazines out to our retailer partners. In this interesting and challenging role you will be responsible for: Planning and resourcing to ensure a smooth day or twilight operationPacking of all newspaper and magazine products using the tracking processManagement of all 'returnable products' to the returns departmentSupervising all staff. Providing training and coaching and identifying training needsProviding accurate reports that highlight any challenges or successesWorking closely with the management team to identify potential risksMaintaining a high level of health and safety at all timesEnsuring compliance with transport legislation and company policy Night Shift: 01:00 to 08:00 About You: Although a track record in warehouse management would be desirable, people management experience gained in other sectors would be considered. You'll also be able to evidence: Experience of working in a fast paced environmentManaging a large operation and the ability to liaise at all levelsOutstanding communication skills and the credibility to effectively build relationships with all team members and managementAdaptability, positivity and effectivity when working with ambiguity and changing commercial driversAbility to work at pace whilst maintaining an accurate, high quality outputHighly organised with a well-developed approach to prioritisation Although not essential, experience of working in Newspaper and Magazine distribution would be advantageous.
