Apply now WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR A national electrical wholesaler with a specialist lighting division is looking for an experienced warehouse supervisor who will be soley responsible for all aspects of the smooth running of a 6000sq ft warehouse. This is a multi-tasking role that will requires a "hands-on approach" and the extra ability to assist on the trade counter during peak times. Responsibilities will include: • Managing stock in and out (to external clients) as well as in store transfers and stock control • Picking and packing (inc counter-balance fork lift truck operation) • Recycling inc. WEEE • Completing the paperwork associated with a busy Warehouse • Deliveries, inc use of systems, managing external suppliers and van delivery sheets • Stocktaking, inc. paper processing and cut-off dates • There may also be a necessity to handle calls to and from other branches • Book goods in and out on the computer system • Supervision of Warehouse Operative • Trade Counter (see detail below) • Ad hoc duties as required Trade Counter The trade counter is a unique selling opportunity in our business. A combination of good communication skills and product knowledge enables the counter sales person to assess customer needs quickly and fulfil them accurately. Responsibilities also include display merchandising and promotions. Responsibilities will include: • Attending the trade counter and managing cash sales inc input and print cash sale invoice, payment, distribution forms, end of day cash controls • Cancelling a cash sale and raising a credit note • Cash sales refunds inc cheque requests and forms • Showroom facility (Merchandising/Displays/Promotions) ensuring showroom is pristine at all times representing the company's professional image
