Our client is a well-established but growing FMCG, manual food processor and distributor based in Paddock Wood near Royal Tunbridge Wells. We are delighted to assist them in their search for a Warehouse Supervisor at their site, based on a shift pattern of Monday-Thursday 10-8 and Friday 10-2. (No weekends) Reporting directly into the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall running of the Production Team, ensuring that the cuts and weights of all items are correct and ready for picking & loading in an efficient manner. This is a cross-functional role whereby you'd be expected to be able to switch on to the Picking, Packing & Dispatch side of the operation. Key Responsibilities: Ensuring all products are processed safely and efficiently, ready for customer collection/dispatchTo work efficiently and effectively as part of the Operations' Management teamEnsure constant communication flow through warehouse & transport departments to ensure accuracy for all ordersCommunicate and liaise with Operations Manager, provide timely updates on progress, achievements and challengesEnsure working areas are kept clean and tidy and GMP procedures are followedManage staff performance and conduct, including: staff training and Personal DevelopmentManage staff absence and complete return to work interviewsBe responsible for all quality control documentation for assigned area, ensure all necessary paperwork completed accurately and timely, complying with customer COPsRegularly review and improve processes and procedures, working towards achieving and exceeding set targetsProvide absence cover for other Warehouse Supervisors as requiredManage and maintain all paperwork & documentation, including goods in/out and customers stock controlDeal with accident investigationsEnsure all staff are compliant with all H&S regulations and provide training where necessaryGeneral warehouse housekeeping ensuring a clean and safe working environmentMonitor annual leave and absence levels to ensure cover is in place to maintain operational continuity Candidate Requirements: Strong communication skills are vital for this roleDemonstrable supervisory experience within an FMCG environmentHACCP & BRC Food Standards knowledge or qualificationsAbility to plan and prioritise in a fast-paced, ever changing environmentStrong attention to detailAnd overall, to have a polite, friendly and professional manner enabling effective teamwork and communication throughout the business This is an excellent opportunity to join a very progressive company and we look forward to your application.
