The Opportunity: To accurately process the Companies cash transactions resulting from operational activity across QBE European Operations. Your responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to: Adhere to agreed standards to ensure compliance with policy and procedures and regulatory requirements.Initiate settlement of cash transactions ensuring accuracy and prompt processing within specified timeframes.Log and investigate any payment failures, ensuring the Team Leader, ITO Settlements is aware of any issues/progress.Maintain all cash transaction information to a best practice standard in accordance with strict deadlines to ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures and external regulations.Update procedures to ensure all processes are fully documented and accurate.Ensure timely posting of cash payments and receipts for allocation purposes.Deal with internal and external enquiries and correspondence promptly in order to deliver a responsive and accurate service.Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external clients to ensure the service continues to meet the needs of all parties involved.Recognise and manage the expectation of internal and external customer groups to deliver a high quality service You will need to be able to display you have the following qualifications and experience: Ability to deliver on time and work under pressure.Experience of cashiering.Effective communication skills - both written and oral.Ability to persuade and influence both directly and indirectly.Ability to work within defined procedures.Numerate.Good organisational skills.Able to use own initiative.Accuracy and attention to detail.Problem solving.Basic accounting qualification (AAT) preferred, or experience of accounting reconciliations and or/banking reconciliations.Insurance experience preferable.Intermediate Excel.
