We have a challenging service operations manager's role based within a state of the art network operations centre. The existing team needs new direction to increase capability and increase performance. If you are a strong leader who believes in metrics and training, and would be happy working at a global organisation, we may have the perfect opportunity for you to show what you can do. You will lead a team of support personnel and technical specialists who monitor the performance of buildings and datacentres in real time. The network operation centre provides a proactive way of ensuring all buildings/data centres are services are maintained and run at full efficiency. This leads to considerable energy and equipment savings for customers. The NOC also collects data which can then be used to improve the company's products and services. In this role you will have full responsibility over a passionate team where you will conduct appraisals, training and hiring. You will also have P&L responsibility, design strategy, and assist other departments in promoting the services of our client using the data acquired from the NOC. This is a very supportive environment where you will report into two very charismatic and technically proficient directors, whose vision is for the NOC to be best in class. It's presumed you will have a strong level of I.T. knowledge and have worked in a NOC or Bureau previously. Any knowledge of BMS (building management systems) or datacentres would be a massive plus, but by no means essential. Any alarmed focused environment where you are monitoring a network would be considered including but not limited to airports, network rail, TFL, telecoms or a DNO.
