Apply now ROLE- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION- Near Harlow, Essex TERM- Permanent SALARY- £38,000- £45,000 per annum (dependant on experience, please advise) My client is a supplier of innovative electro-mechanical products including automated systems. They are looking to take on a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the Essex area. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: HNC/ HND/ Degree qualified in Mechanical EngineeringHave excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering principlesHave an understanding of tolerances, stress analysis, different material selection and manufacturing processesBe able to use 3D CAD ideally SolidWorks proficientlyGood proficiency in using Microsoft Office programsExcellent time management skills and the ability to work well under pressurePrevious fabrication experienceBe personable and able to lead a small team of Mechanical Design EngineersHave familiarity with engineering business systems and processes The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve: Taking leadership over two more junior Mechanical Design EngineersAlso being hands on producing 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorksCreating the BOM's to go with the design workWorking on research and development of company productsProviding technical advice to colleagues and customers when requiredTesting and analysing the designsBeing involved in design and production meetingsOffering training to colleagues as required If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
