Apply now Our client, a reputable Housing Association based in Gloucestershire, is currently recruiting for a Senior Link Worker on a temporary contract. The job, which is due to start a.s.a.p., is initially due to last for six months and will be for 37 hours per week. The rate for this position is negotiable depending upon experience. Duties will include (but not limited to): * Managing two residential homelessness services and supervising a team of Housing Assistants and Link Workers * Responsible for providing emotional and practical support to homeless individuals or clients at risk of homelessness * Carrying out staff appraisals and setting personal KPI's to ensure the right level of service and support is being delivered * Conducting training sessions for the staff team and providing guidance to further develop staff * Assisting with the recruitment of the team and carrying out staff inductions * Supporting people to access welfare benefits and access wider community based services * Providing a range of advice to clients including housing, tenancy, budgeting and rent arrears * Agreeing and implementing individual personalised support plans with the clients * Carrying out regular risk assessments, reviewing and updating support plans with clients on a regular basis and maintaining accurate and up to date records to monitor their progress * Building effective working relationships with community based agencies to support homeless individuals The successful candidate must have a DBS on the update service and hold a full UK Driving License James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.
