Apply now Goodman Masson is working with one of the world's largest children's charities to recruit a Senior Finance Business Partner for their London team. We are looking for a proactive, articulate and driven individual who is looking for an opportunity to gain excellent business partnering exposure in a commercial finance team. The role will manage a high performing team of 3 qualified business partners and will be responsible for driving strategic financial decision support and influencing Directors in financial management. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be the main point of contact for queries coming from senior managers across the business. You will also be instrumental in supporting the Head of Finance on any continuous improvement project across the finance function to improve business performance. The Senior Finance Business Partner and their team will be responsible for: Preparing monthly reporting for, and leading monthly business reviews with assigned teams. Communicating understanding of financial performance based on variance analysisPreparing, consolidating, presenting and uploading forecasts, budgets and longer term financial plans, working together with business areas. Analysing, commenting on and challenging proposed plans throughout the processDeveloping and utilisation of Excel modelling underpinning financial planning and providing the financial inputs for business casesAssisting the teams in developing their strategy and building business cases for investment spend within their areas, providing financial and commercial insight and challenging to ensure best value for moneyProviding business areas with project reporting. Tracking spend and delivery of benefitsDeveloping the financial acumen of budget holders through constructive dialogue and discussion Person specification: Qualified accountant with at least 1.5 years post-qualified experienceIdeally an audit background, having working in a top 50 accountancy practiceSome management responsibility with the confidence to manage a qualified teamExperience of and ability to understand interrelationships between different IT systemsStrong Microsoft Office skills and must be an advanced Excel userStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to develop awareness of commercial issues facing the business areas We are looking for someone who is self-motivated with good time-management skills, an ability to plan, manage and prioritise a varied workload and to take responsibility for issues through to resolution.
