Duties & Responsibilities of the Senior Building Surveyor To provide professional advice and services to clients with regard to all construction and property related matters including, but not limited to, a variety of building surveys; schedules of condition; party wall matters; dilapidations; measured surveys; technical drawing work; design and specification; and, contract administration. The position reports directly to the Associate - Head of Building Surveying To develop and flesh out the client briefUndertake building surveys, condition surveys and pre-acquisition surveys as well as preparing relevant survey reportsPrepare design drawings to stage 3 and technical drawings to stage 4 of the RIBA Plan of WorkLiaise with and produce information (including drawings) for statutory and local authority approvalsAdvise on the procurement of construction consultants necessary for the successful completion of projects; and, co-ordinate and liaise with the sameCarry out all elements of contract administration to include pre- and post-contract servicesPrepare and serve party wall noticesReview lease clauses, prepare / review interim and terminal schedules of dilapidationsTo ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and all aspects of the Health & Safety at Work Act.To provide, where appropriate, technical advice and support in relation to the delivery of the professional services If you would like to discuss the role in more detail please contact Roger Holden at Graham Rose on Your attributes BSc or MSc in Building SurveyingYou are MRICS qualifiedGood project management and coordination skillsAble to keep manage financial budgets and to achieve project deadlinesProficient in the use of AutoCADExcellent presentation skillsComprehensive IT skillsAble to work autonomously and work well as part of a teamExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent written & verbal communication skillsA logical, analytical and creative approach to problem solvingWell-developed organisational skills and ability to prioritise work effectivelyA self-starter with strong motivation The Senior Building Surveyor taking up this position will have genuine prospects for career progression.
