We work with local businesses, colleges, pubs and restaurants in and around Oxford and have an awesome team that pride ourselves on the quality service we provide to our customers. Scope of the Role Overall responsibility for all Account Management and New Business functions for the Roots of Oxford Depots.Responsible for building relationships with current and potential customers and to make yourself available to resolve service and pricing issues. Through a team of Managers and Supervisors ensure that the relevant feedback from the customers is acted upon and the outcomes are also fed back to the customers.To where possible provide the customer base with business and crop updates to ensure that operational issues which could impact on the customer are at best informed and to ensure that the potential difficult conversations are advised to reduce negative impact on the business. Key Responsibilities To be the first point of contact for the customers that are on your listTo provide a professional service in both verbal and written communication to the clientsTo communicate effectively with all other departmentsEnsuring that information passed to commercial admin is completed correctly and pursued to completionThrough regular Operations Meetings keep your management team informed of sales activity and any new developmentsTo play a key role in the implementation of all new business & procedures, communicating with all relevant departments throughout the process to ensure a smooth integration into the businessVia both formal and informal meetings ensure that your line manager is kept updated on any opportunities or threats that could impact the businessThrough the department provide ongoing intelligence/data/information that can be used by other departments in order to make more informed decisions Key Attributes Previous experience of working in the Fresh Produce and/or Foodservice industrySuccessful background of Business Development, Sales and Account ManagementCustomer focused and solutions drivenExcellent multi-tasking skillsFirst rate communication and presentation skills both verbal and writtenHigh product knowledge and above average understanding of the industry/role requirementsTeam player with an understanding of peopleOpen minded and able to embrace and influence changeAble to work under pressure in a competitive market place and gain market advantageEthical and honestA "can do and will do" attitudeAble to deliver results
