The agency is based in the heart of the Midlands, south of Birmingham and benefits from a well established and loyal group of carers offering therapeutic foster care placements to vulnerable children. The agency is the first, and currently only, European organisation to achieve Dyadic Developmental Practice certification. Due to the success and growth of the service, they now seek a dynamic and quality driven leader to manage their social work team. Growth and cost saving is not your prime focus here - your motivations are safeguarding, best practice at all times and the successful management and quality of your social work team. The agency has no aspirations of world domination and seeks to maintain just its existing office with approximately 50 carers and 20staff in total. The welfare, safety and progress of the children and carers through exemplary case management is the paramount focus of this Registered Manager role. THE ROLE The owners of this fantastic agency are looking for a child-centred, quality driven and confident practitioner who can deliver excellence within their social work team. You will report directly to the owners, and the successful person will be offered an exceptional opportunity to develop professionally, with the full support of two leading professionals in the field of therapeutic fostering and the exceptional on site clinical team. ABOUT YOU You may be a highly experienced Fostering Team Manager - ready for the next step in your career! Or you may already be an experienced Registered Manager - disillusioned with your current provider? Come and make a difference and be given the freedom to shine! You are a qualified social worker with significant post qualifying experience within Fostering (DipSW/BA Hons/ CQSW) with experience of leading a team in a fostering setting You will need to have significant post qualifying experience as a Qualified Social Worker within Fostering and have an excellent knowledge of current fostering regulations and standardsConfident communicator who can challenge where needed. Driven to excel at all times - excellent attention to detailYou will have the skills to ensure your team deliver high quality at all times on safeguarding and the drive to deliver positive long term outcomes for children and young people You will effectively engage with your team to ensure a place of work that encourages open and positive communications, encourages team work and professional responsibilityYou will have excellent motivation, staff supervision, appraisal and continual development capabilities for your team to continue to develop and evolveYou will able to develop and maintain a service that will consistently be rated as 'Outstanding' by OfstedYou will have an interest in, and a commitment to, developing an informed therapeutic response for children and young people who experience attachment difficulties The agency is an equal opportunities employer.
