Quality Standards and Systems ConsultantBirmingham £60k Huxley Engineering and a Global Name in the Automotive Industry are looking to recruit a Quality Standards and Systems Consultant on a permanent basis for their offices in the Birmingham area, owing to succession planning within the organisation and project workload. Responsibilities of Quality Standards and Systems Consultant Role: Provide consultancy for the implementation of APQP & Core Tools, PPAP, IATF16949, AS9100, ISO9001:2015 and VDA.Maintain an excellent level of competency in the APQP & Core Tools, PPAP, IATF16949, AS9100, ISO9001:2015 and VDA.Play an active part in customer relationship management and lead progression Essential Requirements for Quality Standards and Systems Consultant Role: Degree such as Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Systems or equivalentCapability and experience to deliver training and coach teams in safe launch procedures such as APQP and the Core Tools including: FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP and 8D problem solvingA minimum of five years of industrial experience, including management responsibility and strong Automotive/Aerospace experienceAbility to lead and work with teams, building relationships at all levels within an organisationA strong customer focus with a track record of delivering improved performanceVDA or other quality system audit certificationWorking understanding of Lean Continuous improvement tools, including 5S, 7 Wastes, Visual Management, Standard Work, Line Balance, Set Up Improvement, Problem Solving, A3 thinking.
