You will lead a direct team of 4-5 QA officers, ensuring the food safety assurance at this site meets regulations. You must be an experienced quality manager from a food manufacturing or factory environment. Previous people management is also essential. The Role:You will be managing the Quality Team who are committed to delivering the high standards, our customers and consumers have come to expect.Duties:*Manage quality/ food safety assurance and be the lead for food safety and quality standards and site GMP to enable the site to improve quality to customers and so drive down complaints and cost*To provide an effective quality management system to ensure full compliance with relevant Legal, National, Corporate and Retailer standards.*To drive improvements in quality awareness and effectively implement quality improvement projects within site*To manage the Quality Team and site hygiene and pest control activities Experience Required:*A degree in an appropriate scientific discipline* Significant experience in a food manufacturing or factory environment*The ability to successfully interact with and influence, peers and senior management*Strong leadership and management capabilities*A proven track record of delivering results against objectives and managing projects requiring cross-functional approaches*Good understanding of the BRC V7 and HACCP quality systems, quality philosophies and techniques*Significant experience of a variety of food products in a technical role, QA and QC*Operational and up-to-date knowledge of EU legislation relating to food manufacture*Good understanding and experience of dry food processing operations*A working knowledge of Microbiology*Good knowledge of IT systems i.e. Microsoft OfficeWorking Hours: 09:00 - 17:30 - flexibility availableThis is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK's leading food manufacturing sites, responsible for a variety of popular brands.If interested, apply now!
