The Role A rapidly growing technology business has a new opportunity for a commercially astute Project Manager. The appointed Project Manager will be responsible for managing milestones and deliverables on a number of on-going technical and research projects based in the UK and across the EU. Knowledge in the field of electrical machines would be highly beneficial in this role. Duties and responsibilities will include: Managing initial customer interactions on projects including quoting, defining work packages, deliverables and timing plans.Monitoring and tracking progress against cost and time targets.Organisation and participation in project review meetings.Management of the technical team in terms of timing and schedule.Attendance at conferences and prospective customer visits to develop new commercial opportunities.Development of proposals in response to RFQs or funding calls.Working with partners to develop bids for funded collaborative research projects.Management of sub-contractors and partners. The ideal candidate will have the following attributes: Demonstrable experience of project management in a technical fieldExperience with customer engagements and building relationshipsGood people management skills and a professional customer facing approachPrevious managed a technical teamA working history of developing sales and new commercial opportunitiesA good understanding of the commercial environment and business practices.Experience of working in UK or EU funded collaborative research projects (Desirable)Background knowledge in the field of electric machines and/or closely related areas (Desirable) The Package £45,000 - £50,000 per annum Full time Permanent 25 days holiday + pension + BUPA The Company Our client is a fast growing technology company based in the Wrexham area.
