Description This role will have a range of responsibilities and opportunities: Negotiate and manage relationships with food suppliers. Categories include; meat, produce, bakery & fish. High level of stakeholder engagement with internal business leaders. Deliver compliance of contracts terms through engagement of suppliers Be involved in the new menu development and NPD. Monitor the price changes of various food commodities throughout the year.. Accurate forecasting and budgeting of Food costs and resulting margin impact, in conjunction with the Finance team Profile This role will need someone who has a passion for food. You will need to have purchasing experience, ideally within food & retail. Skills: Highly numerate, IT literate and analytical. Strategic and problem solver.Strong communication skills.Excellent presentation skills both verbal and writtenAbility to multi-task Requirements for the Role: Minimum 5 years' experience.Preferably CIPS qualified.Food purchasing experience, various categories, preferably within foodservice / retails / wholesale environment.Strong negotiation skills.Proven track record of purchasing .Self-driven for personal development.Flexible, willing to learn and able to work within a fast moving environment Job Offer £45,000 to £50,000 26 days holiday per yearPrivate Health InsuranceCompany Pension Scheme20% discount
