Apply now Responsible for : Procuring categories utilising strategic sourcing processes and techniques to ensure competitive supply advantage and with the aim of driving improvement spend against contract and supplier performanceConducting market analysis activities and developing expertise with the market conditions of assigned categoriesLead in developing and applying appropriate negotiation strategies, tactics and conflict resolutionsDevelop supplier relationships to ensure that cost reduction and value creation are ongoing activities. Utilise a strategic cost management tools and trend forecasting to assist in maximising the value of supplier relationships and contractsDevelop category management plans, and oversees implementation of new supply arrangements in conjunction with relevant business expertsLeading category teams which include business partner SME's, procurement analysts, contractors and other stakeholders and procurement or business professionalsFormulating fit for purpose contractsLeading or participating in ad-hoc project teams Competencies / Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skillsCollaborative, and able to build relationships with multiple groups including other business units higher levels of management and external suppliersStrong analytical skills, attention to detail and capable to complete tasks thoroughly. Ability to discern discrepancies in data and reportsDegree educated (or equivalent)Preferably CIPS Qualified or studying towards qualificationConsiderable experience of contract review, formulation, and execution Flexible attitude towards working hours
