Apply now Job Title: Partnership Development Associate (Devon & Somerset) Located: Home based but with ability to come into the office and attend our events, taster days and networking meetings around Devon & Somerset Contract: £700 per month, part-time, flexible hours, self-employed, freelance one year contract Duration: One year Are you a people person with a proven ability to develop and nurture partnerships? Experienced in being an ambassador with a focus on relationship development? Do you have an interest in Social Enterprise and projects which make a difference locally? And are you looking for a part-time, flexible role, and able to attend regional events including networking meetings? We are helping the School for Social Entrepreneurs Dartington and they have funding for this brand-new role for one year. You would not be stepping into anyone's shoes in this role. Currently, the tasks and responsibilities for this role are spread out across the team and we're keen to bring them together and bring you on board to own and drive the organisation forward. Their mission is to support people to start, sustain and scale social enterprises, ethical businesses, community projects and charities. Your role would be to represent us at events, taster days and meetings as well as develop and nurture strong relationships with our partners and potential partners. Day to day, you'd be responsible for: Working closely with the Director to support their work in developing and maintaining partnerships and key relationships. Recruiting students to SSE Dartington learning programmes and raising our profile throughout the region. Representing SSE Dartington at events, taster days and meetings. Phoning, emailing and meeting face to face with our partners and potential partners. Identifying and liaising with community and social enterprise groups and networks, and others who have access to our target audiences. Connecting with our course graduates, to strengthen the mutual support network and actively support them to spread the message of what we do in their communities and networks. Getting to know our partner organisations, identify areas of mutual interest and opportunities for future collaboration in supporting the development of social entrepreneurs. Contacting social enterprises and community businesses, to build the profile of SSE Dartington as a provider of learning and support for social entrepreneurs at all stages of their development. Working closely with our copywriting, content and social media associate to ensure that our messages reach the right people. Key skills and experience required: You're a natural networker and connector of people. Understand the value of identifying, developing key relationships and building networks. You're a natural communicator who isn't afraid to pick up the phone and reach out to new people and maintain crucial relationships. An ability to network with a wide variety of potential partners such as council members, entrepreneurs, business people, professionals. Genuine interest in entrepreneurship and the work of SSE in supporting social entrepreneurs. Able to communicate what's happening in the networks to our office-based staff and our new content and social media associate.
