Apply now This manufacturing organisation require an experienced HR Advisor (used to a heavily unionised environment) to work part time 3 days per week to cover a period of maternity for around 9 months.Reporting to the Head of HR, the Advisor will be the first point of contact for all HR queries, handling ER matters as they arise, along with investigating / leading ER casework up to and including more complex issues. Dealing with absence management is key; updating the Bradford scoring system, holding weekly meetings and liaising with Occupational Health and Unions.The Advisor will also handle recruitment activities, assist with any HR projects or initiatives and carry out administrative duties to support ER casework, performance management, assisting with queries from Payroll and the maintenance of employee matters. Organising and managing the on-site training process (including reviewing strategy and training plans), and the coaching of line managers in relation to HR policies and processes is vital.You should have previous experience working in a fast paced environment (such as manufacturing, FMCG etc.) that is heavily unionised and have a sound understanding of redundancy processes and be able to drive (some very occasional travel will be required).
