Apply now Payroll Officer - £35000 to £40000 + Excellent Benefits - City I am currently working with a growing and dynamic bank who are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their growing team. Reporting into the Payroll Manager the role of the Payroll Officer will be as follows: Reporting into the Payroll ManagerWorking in a team of 5Timely and accurate processing of payroll data for 1700 employees and ensuring the team provides a proactive and efficient payroll service to the bankMonth End Reconciliations, production and delivery of UK payroll including ExpatsMonthly processing and filing Returns for the company via RTIEnsuring that all payroll related (Fixed & Variable) data is captured on the system (i.e. Starters, Leavers, Variable Pay and Variable Changes)Amending Pay Changes such as Overtime and RedundancyEnsuring that all P45's and P46's is processed to meet strict deadlinesReview payroll input before payroll interface takes place including: Time & Attendance FilesMaintaining the monthly payroll, including collating and data entry of new starters, leavers, overtime, employee benefits, salary sacrifice schemes, loans, advances, maternity and paternity leave for submissionPreparing information and submissions for P11D and PSA and ensure that the process is completed and submitted to HMRC within the deadlineNegotiating recovery of overpayments with leavers to agree terms for the recovery of company moniesRaising manual payments including: Redundancy, bond payments and salary advancesDealing with queries and ad-hoc requests for information and liaising with HR Teams, Third Parties and Employees Qualifications: Recent payroll ExperienceUp to date UK employment tax knowledgeGood knowledge of UK employee benefitsStrong Communication skillsGood attention to detailMust have very good Microsoft office skillsExperience of Northgate Payroll software
