Apply now £29000 plus Van 6 Months Fixed Term Contract The main purpose of the role is to complete repairs on doors and door frames. Carry out a high quality and responsive carpentry service in the clients properties, including first and second fix; Carry out all necessary administrative work, including keeping accurate and timely records (for Schedule of Rates) of all work from receiving jobs to completion; Communicate and work with other trades, providing technical advice and input as required; Self manage and check work as required; Ensure all work is carried out in a proper and thorough manner, taking into consideration Health and Safety requirements Utilise extra skills to complete the majority of repairs on first visit Make sure tenants understand their own repair responsibilities, through good communication Identify repairs that should be recharged to tenants, and make records to ensure these are followed up by colleagues During visits to homes, proactively identify any issues or problems relating to property condition or tenant behaviour (including safeguarding issues) which the client needs to be aware of and ensure these are reported back The ideal candidate will be highly confident with all aspects of carpentry, joinery and iron mongery. NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry and an additional one or more of the following trades:Plumbing, Plastering or Decorating - Time served experience consideredSocial Housing experience Asbestos Awareness Must have good communication skills as well as attention to detail in order to provide excellent customer service.Must have the excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and be able to work safely at all times in tenants homes.Time keeping is key to the role as you will need to be able to commit and meet to deadlines.
