With such strong foundations and expertise, the business is looking to expand their team and need to recruit an experienced Mechanical Fitter, Fitter or Technician.The role:Reporting to the Rental Centre Manager, the Technician/ Fitter will:• Perform a range of fitting and servicing duties involving the full range of lifting equipment.• Operate a quality, highly accredited process led environment. • Service, repair and prepare for hire all ranges of lifting and material handling equipment, maintaining exceptional standards of work, great house-keeping and a tidy safe workplace.• Ensure all repairs and servicing reflect expected quality standards.• Maintain excellent house-keeping and storage at all times.• Pro-actively respond to all hire desk requirements at all times - as they represent your Internal Customer Support.• Enhance your skills by attending requisite training courses as and when required.• Understand and follow company safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.• Adhere to company procedures and administration relevant to the successful completion of daily duties of the position.• Any other duties commensurate with the grade and nature of this position.Skills & Experience:• Proven track record within technical/engineering service environment.• LEEA P1 - Essential• LEEA Lifting General - Desirable• LEEA Lifting Machines Manual - Desirable• LEEA Lifting Machines Power - Desirable• A positive and determined 'can do' attitude which will ensure our business responds to our customers' needs.• Excellent Communication Skills. To be able to present your own ideas clearly and listen to others in an appropriate manner. Both written and verbal particularly with reference to technical information.• Planning - Ability to identify what needs to be done to achieve objectives, prioritise key issues and plans ahead to ensure desired outcomes.• Personal effectiveness - Demonstrates personnel commitment and problem solving skills to deliver the required results.• Attention to detail - Able to understand exact requirements and accurately record information.• Influencing and Negotiation - Able to use skills to successfully convert enquiries to orders.• Problem solving skills - with ability to generate ideas and solutions.• Commercial Awareness - Ability to apply wider business knowledge to make commercial decisions.• Full Clean Driving License.• Able to drive UK wide as required.Depending on your experience, the company are offering: £25k-£30k basic salary +15% bonus + pension.
