Due to continued growth they now have a requirement for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join them. Someone who very much enjoys a varied and challenging work load. Location: Hinckley Salary: £Excellent Salary + Benefits The Role You will play a pivotal role in producing technical solutions to complex engineering projects. You will be heavily involved in the design and project management from conceptual design, test procedures equipment performing calculations in support of designs and evaluating and modifying. You will demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight timescales, stringent standards without compromising on quality or cost. You will provide engineering support and technical guidance as and when required as well as provide further support to the Production to review and improve processes and procedures. The Requirements The successful candidate will be degree educated - Mechanical Engineering Degree - and will ideally have experience of lighting design, but this is not essential. You will have a strong mechanical background and be efficient using 3D and 2D software, preferably Solidworks. You will have no problems in carrying out calculations to support/solve engineering activities. You will have good understanding of use of standards and use of tolerances - such as geometric tolerances, shaft & bore and surface roughness. You will demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to manage your own work-related activities and the ability to work to tight deadlines. You will have excellent communication skills - written and verbal and enjoy taking on new challenges and responsibilities.
