We have an immediate requirement for a Material Handler to join our team on a permanent basis. You will be working in a fast paced environment and as a team member with the knitting and Finishing department. As a material handler, the main duties and responsibilities for the role will include, but will not be limited to: Ensuring materials are available on time for production in the most effective wayEnsuring orders for materials are sufficient for order demandEnsuring allocation of yarn matches order requirementsUpdating inventory systems, maintain stock accuracy, ensure tidy storage of yarns and removal of empty palletsLiaising with Office Administrator to ensure logistics are informed of collections/deliveries Other duties will include: Ensuring wash care instructions are adhered toHealth and safety - highlight possible areas of risk, operate within company guidelines Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturingExperience working in the textiles industry is preferable, but not essentialThe ability to manage and update inventory accuratelyComputer skills- Email, Microsoft Word, Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication skills and the ability to work in a challenging and fast moving environment as part of friendly and dynamic team.A positive attitude to problem solvingAbility to work independently as well as part of a team We are offering a competitive starting salary, that will be reviewed regularly.
