Apply now Established consumer brand seeks an experienced MD to lead their very successful team. This is a new role so lots of potential to make your mark. Working closely with the Owner, you will join the business as a Deputy MD, working together towards the MD status, where you will take over the day-to-day running of the business, specifically; Developing the company's growth strategy as a multi-channel consumer facing brand with a compelling vision and marketing strategy that leverages business strengths and has a clear business plan.Managing the overall P&L performance of the company ensuring investments and all other costs are appropriate for the growth strategy.Defining the organisation's structure needs, developing a phased resource plan across the company so that employees at all levels have clear accountabilities, and know how to contribute to success.Through personal leadership style and excellent line management processes and support, developing a highly motivated and effective, collaborative management team, with clear accountabilities, shared goals and an open communication culture.Setting cash flow forecasts with Finance team and manage and monitor cash flow in the company, ensuring commercial objectives are met whilst good relationships and practices with debtors and creditors.Handling legal and contractual aspects of the business, including compliance, seeking external advice as necessary.Overseeing all HR aspects of the business, to ensure correct policies and procedures and seek professional advice as required.Driving the performance review process for the whole company including team development, reward and retention, clear goal setting and succession planning.Ensuring that through the IT dept. management information is improved, is visible and is used to inform good business decisions. Ensure good integration of SAP to support ongoing improvements in customer service and profitability.Maintaining excellence in logistics and distribution, streamlined, cost effective, and integrated solutions including warehousing and fulfilment to meet customer demand and establish best practice delivery and customer service standards for all customer groups, including major accounts.Developing an effective and sales orientated business development strategy for the wholesale channels in line with wider business objectives, to maximise the UK and EU potential.Driving the vision for the growth of wholesale Ecommerce, overseeing and supporting the team in the setting and achieving of targets.Reviewing potential for growth in USA export and wider international markets, building on existing success and developing a 3-5 year plan for sustainable growth, resourcing and implementing the action plans.Planning for the growth of the consumer side of the business, online, and including retail stores, with clear P&L and investment requirements. You will have: At least 3 years' experience of taking a business through significant periods of growth and change at a senior level.At least 5 years relevant experience in a related wholesale, consumer products or retail environment.Knowledge of ecommerce sales an advantage.CRM expertise an advantage.Strong personal values to support the company in a high growth phase and ability to ensure the company values are 'lived' by all employees.Proven ability to engage and work with external stakeholders and strategic partners to build brand awareness and effectiveness.High level of analytical skills and numeracy.Proven sales, commercial and 'trading' acumen focussed on sales performance and financial objectives.Excellent negotiating and persuasion skill.
