After a record year in terms of growth and profit, my client have increased their revenues and customer base by a significant percentage year on year - specifically in the last 12 months. They are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and driven Management Accountant, in a very hands on role, to develop quality financial information and influence all aspects of the organisation from a commercial point of view. Reporting directly to the Finance Director in a role with a clear progression plan in place, key responsibilities will include: Production of full monthly management accounts including analysis of expenditure, identifying and explaining variances to budget and forecast for inclusion in the monthly board pack.Development of commentary to support the monthly Management Accounts Pack.Heavily involved in the provision of accurate financial information to be included in reports for other departments e.g. sales and operations, linking the financial information and projections.Commercial modelling/projections associated with new contracts. This will include liaising with the legal team to produce mew contracts, offering a financial insight. Assisting with the financial accounts area when necessary. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong character and a real desire and drive to progress and make a positive impact in an organisation. They must have excellent communication skills, with a successful track record of building strong working relationships with a variety of different senior managers with varying degrees of commercial and financial skills. Strong IT and modelling skills are essential with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
