If so then ensure you hit apply on the advert. You'll get to work across the site on a range of different lines/machinery as part of an engineering team. You'll deal with predominantly mechanical faults but will also get involved on basic electrical fault finding. The client is part of a group of companies with over 20 sites in the UK. This particular arm of the business has over 130 employees and is on its own a £20m turnover company. They currently outsource some of their planned maintenance and want to bring this in house with the addition of another engineer in the team. The Role You'll cover maintenance on the production equipment on site, including a corrugator, conversion machinery, die cutters, multipoint gluers, rollers, conveyors etc on their site based close to Witchford. You'll get great training and learn from the current Engineering Shift Leader and existing engineer and they will get you up to speed on the systems and site. You'll be able to suggest improvements projects and also help develop their proactive PPM schedule, as well as complete reactive maintenance on predominantly mechanical faults, dealing with breakdowns, troubleshooting and getting involved in continuous improvement projects.The Candidate First of all you will preferably be an experienced maintenance engineer with a mechanical background with a background working in a fast moving manufacturing environment. Your background might involve working within packaging, FMCG, food or closely related industry within manufacturing. You will also harbour a desire to work for a stable company with a family feel and receive quality training and add value. You'll come with mechanical skills and ideally the certificates to prove this and will hopefully also be time served. You'll be competent with the basic electrical skills and if you had PLC fault finding knowledge this would be amazing, but is certainly a nice to have rather than a definite requirement.
