Apply now Laboratory Technician Oxfordshire £20,000 - £23,000 Permanent Our client, a global healthcare and life sciences provider, is looking for an individual to join their antibody production team in Oxfordshire, in order to provide the research community with industry leading antibodies. The role is predominantly bench-based and covers a variety of aspects including cell cultures, purification, conjugation, QC testing & manufacturing to ISO:9001 standards - so would be suitable for someone who was already experienced in one or more aspects of the role, but looking to expand their skill-set & gain further industry experience. Duties/Responsibilities: - Perform cell cultures - Perform antibody purification - Perform bio-conjugations (including fluorescent dyes & proteins to antibodies) - QC testing - Ensuring the compliance of ISO:9001 standards Requirements: Essential - Educated to BSc level - Previous industry experience or completion of an academic research project - A basic understanding of immunology - Experience of maintaining microbiological samples or cell cultures - Competency in aseptic techniques - Previous experience in a lab setting - Current eligibility to work in the UK Desirable - Maintaining hybridoma cell lines - Protein purification (affinity chromatography, Ion exchange, gel filtration) - Knowledge and/or experience of SDS PAGE, WB, conjugation, flow cyto, IHC, ELISA - Experience of working in a ISO:9001 environment If however, you do not feel that this is the right role for you, please forward these details on as we do have a generous referral scheme in place.
