Apply now Laboratory / Test / Repair Technician - Required to join a small team working in a modern and purpose-built laboratory facility based in the Corby area. The company, who supply specialist equipment to the medical sector, have recently expanded which has resulted in this new and exciting opportunity for the successful candidate. Duties will include:• Inspection, diagnosis and repair of components using complex laboratory equipment ie: microscopes; vacuum chambers etc• Analysing / recording results and updating CRM / ERP systems • Provide technical advice and support to internal and external customers • Work closely with the Lab Manager and Administrator to provide regular updates to customers regarding on-going repairs and enhance the customer experience• Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the laboratory environment Applications are invited from candidates with the following attributes: • Fine hand skills and dexterity is essential• Good eye for technical detail - tests require exact measurements for analysing and recording results• Ability to work consistently and maintain a high level of concentration• Ability to use laboratory equipment for long periods of time whilst tests are run • Good organisation skills and team player attitude • Excellent written, oral communication and listening skills• Experience of soldering and completing complex repairs - advantageous The successful applicant will join a small and growing team offering a vital service supporting the medical industry.
