Apply now A young, busy and vibrant cafe/bar overlooking the River Tyne requires an energetic and positive Kitchen Manager to work alongside and Assistant Manager and managers/owners. We are looking for a Kitchen Manager to supervise daily back of house cafe operations. Kitchen Manager responsibilities include supervising the food preperation and cooking, maintaining a fully-stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage our kitchen staff and guide them to deliver quality food on time to the standards required. Ultimately, you will ensure all plates are properly cooked and served and our customers have a pleasant dining experience. We're looking for a creative, motivating professional who doesn't mind contributing to prep work or delivering food, but who won't be afraid to delegate. You will liaise with the Assistant Manager and report to the manager/owners. The job requires approximately 50 hours per week with some nights and most weekends. Our customers are at the heart of the business which has developed into a hub for the community and regular visitors. It's very important that the prospective candidate has an interest in people and want to make our customers feel special and welcome! We are looking for someone who is energetic, a positive team player, motivated to do a good job, problem solvers and are quick to learn. You will have a keen eye for detail, have high standards and be someone who can help draw the very best out of the team.
