The Copywriter (Junior) will be part of a team of specialist highly skilled Copywriters who are tasked with producing engaging & effective on brand content for onsite promotional campaign marketing, news/editorial coverage, media, PR, blog, social, SEO, advertorial, CRM and VIP activity. The Junior role requirements and responsibilities involve providing assistance to the more senior members of the team in the provision of editorial support for campaign deliverables and projects which will also serve as a platform for learning and development. The Copywriter (Junior) is part of the Studio team and reports to the News/Editorial Team Leader. Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for the creation and delivery of strong and dynamic copy and content from initial briefing through to final production, including research, planning and concept creation for all online and offline marketing activities • Responsible for the creation and delivery of strong and dynamic content from conception through to final production. This will involve researching, brainstorming and creating concepts in collaboration with the design and web content teams and relevant clients/ stakeholders, working from an initial brief to final sign off • Ability to contribute in face to face meetings and throughout ideation processes to ensure the brief is met • Work closely with Brand, Sports, Gaming, Marketing, Product, VIP, Social, PR, SEO and other internal teams and various third parties to develop concepts and ideas that deliver high quality customer experiences through marketing communications • Contribute to department and work related meetings as required to best perform the role and to achieve open channels of constructive communication in areas of ideation and strategy • Quality check and proof all personal copywriting and production output to ensure completed work is error-free, meets the brief, and achieves the desired standards and brand guidelines • Assist with proofing the copywriting production of the junior members of the team • Ensure work produced is consistent with the creative direction and brand guidelines defined by the Director of Creative • Support other junior members of the Editorial team by sharing advice, assistance and encouragement • Maintain strong working relationships with team members, creative studio teams in other locations and stakeholders in establishing good, effective communication levels required to provide effective editorial advice and guidance to clients • Review and proof (Inc. sign off) all Editorial related deliverables to ensure all content is complying with Brand guidelines and regulatory frameworks including CAP • Effectively collaborate and support the Editorial Team Leader, Creative Studio Manager & Production Team to plan and schedule resources based on availability & suitability for optimum production • Provide feedback and recommendations to assist the Editorial Team Leader to obtain sign off from/for business • Follow and deliver best practice Copywriting / Brand tone of voice methodology and process throughout the team to ensure the delivery of copy consistency and customer centricity • Maintain full awareness and understanding of appropriate legislation for relevant channels and ensure all activity is approved by Compliance and Legal team(s); ensure that all materials are consistent with License conditions and code(s) of practice; ensure all staff are trained and familiar with Responsible Gambling requirements and knowledge is consistently and effectively updated • Proactively research industries, market trends and competitor reports to have a full understanding of competitors and other markets to be able to make suggestions for new ideas, technology and thought methods • Maintain a relevant and current skillset by keeping abreast of new technique, technology and design trends and undertaking regular reviews & training courses to advance capabilities and provide up to date expertise to the business Specialist Skills and Experience Required: • University-level education in Marketing, English or equivalent industry recognized certificates preferable • Good knowledge of all Microsoft products such as Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint • Ability to manage multiple tasks, with the ability to switch from one to the other seamlessly • Knowledge and understanding of mobile and tablet gaming • Proven personal communication skills (written, verbal and presentational) • Keen interest in writing, popular culture, and new advertising trends and techniques • Keen interest in sports & gaming (online) • Ability to create simple, effective, engaging promotional messaging • Understanding of Brand guidelines & tone of voice principles for offline and online media • Good communications skills (written, verbal and presentational) • Good organizational and project management skills • Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and third party service providers So, if you are looking for this exciting position, and want to work for an industry leader, look no further and send your CV to Castle Hill Recruitment, or apply here on Reed.
