This is an excellent opportunity for a progressive, ambitious individual looking to further their career in a hugely varied role in a leading PLC business.Your new roleThe role will be reporting to the Head of Investor Relations with exposure to a number of senior stakeholders across the business including the Group FD and Group CEO. Externally this position will be working with shareholders, potential investors and analysts, reporting back to the management board to help drive group strategic planning. The role will be involved in the preparation and pitching of investor presentations and helping drive the businesses reputation in the market. There will also be involvement in M&A in the identification of potential acquisition opportunities within the market and building relationships with key advisers to assist in this process. Alongside these day to day responsibilities there is also the opportunity to be involved in ad-hoc project work with the Group FD and Group Chief Exec.What you'll need to succeedYou will be an ACA qualified accountant with a minimum of 4 years post qualification experience, preferably within an IR team or similar. You will have a CFA or similar analyst qualification with a comprehensive understanding of financial models, equity markets and regulatory environments. The high level of stakeholder interaction in the role requires a confident communicator with a commercial mindset allowing the development of strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will need to demonstrate project management, leadership and excellent organisational skills and the ability to combine commercial and strategic oversight with the ability to get "stuck in" to the detail on a day to day basis.What you'll get in returnThis is an excellent opportunity to join a market leader in a broad, varied and highly commercial role.
