Apply now My client is a prestigious governmental organisation who are seeking an interim financial accountant for a three month assignment supporting the Financial Controller with the closure of year-end accounts. A prestigious brand within the sector, you will be a hands-on and driven individual with strong technical financial accounting and year-end knowledge. Working as part of a small project finance team you will be responsible for delivering on the completion of the year-end accounts. Reviewing balance sheet accounts, ensuring variances are investigated and fully explainedPreparation of the statutory accountsPreparation of material for external auditors, dealing with external auditors directly to resolve queries Liaising with stakeholders across the business to pull together and communicate the relevant financial information, specifically those in the central accounts and wider group finance teamPreparation of Journals You will be: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent)Have a proven ability to communicate at all levels to stakeholders over varying levels of seniorityRelevant experience in financial or year-end accounting within a governmental body is desirableApplications will be considered upon receipt and the deadline may close earlier than the anticipated start dateAll positions available fall within scope of IR35
