Apply now Based in our Brighton office reporting to the EMEA Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and delivering sales qualified leads to the field sales team. Responsibilities include: Understand and qualify incoming inquiries generated through web and marketing campaigns in order to build an effective plan of sales activities Find, nurture and qualify leads. Contact prospects identifying opportunities where Avalara can support these needs Arrange meetings and demos with prospects on behalf of the field sales team Build industry knowledge within the indirect tax Industry Achieve your individual revenue targets Plan, organize and structure your time to enable you to achieve the required activity levels and KPI's To contribute to the sales and marketing team meetings and assist in the development of targeted marketing plans to drive new business opportunities Keep up to date with industry features/news Keep an up to date, deep working knowledge of Avalara at all times and be able to relay this in an engaging way To keep Salesforce up to date with progress on a daily basis and provide information for reporting purposes as and when required Skills and Experience Required: Second language would be an advantage Experience of working in a sales environment (telephone based ideal) Excellent communications skills, verbal, listening Proficient with Salesforce Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications Ability to use own initiative, a quick learner who is adaptable A positive attitude, resilient and self-motivated Flexible and quick thinking Perseverance with the ability to respect customers' answers To be well-organized and thorough, even under pressure To enjoy working within a target-driven team environment Benefits: Competitive base salary and attractive on target earnings based on success 25 days' holiday Pension, dental, health care Casual, fun work environment About Avalara Global messaging Making tax compliance less taxing Avalara helps businesses of all sizes achieve compliance with transactional taxes, including VAT, sales and use, excise, communications, and other tax types.
