Our increasing investment in leading edge technology programmes make it an exciting time to join our function.The two year Information Services Graduate Management Programme will provide a framework for you to experience a variety of placements across the function so that you can then specialise in one of our core business areas. We can offer a flexible working environment and a variety of challenging placements and will also ensure that you are well supported by an experienced mentor and buddy. We will also provide all the training and development you'll need, including sponsored membership with BCS (The Chartered Institute for IT).Your placements in the following areas will help prepare you for a senior role in our fast-paced Information Services department:StrategyDuring this placement you will help to shape our future strategy and technological direction; we don't do this in isolation so you'll be working closely with other parts of Anglian Water and leading solutions providers, investigating current challenges and the impact of new innovations such as consumerisation, big data and cloud computing.TechnicalWe deploy innovative solutions to challenging business problems that range in size from local database solutions to company wide ERP solutions. During this placement you'll have the opportunity to take part in all elements of the delivery cycle from defining requirements and agreeing the scope, all the way through to solution design, building and testing.CommercialA number of the core IS functions at Anglian Water are currently outsourced to leading IT suppliers. In this placement, you will develop critical management skills around the work we do with our outsourced suppliers. Your assignments could include procurement, contract management, negotiations, cost accounting and budget control.Project ManagementWorking within a structured methodology, our project management team are responsible for the delivery of a wide variety of complex IT solutions. Our teams can also include people from our delivery partners, so you'll very quickly learn a variety of project management techniques and styles to deliver projects on time and on budget. So what do you need to apply?We are looking for graduates with a minimum of a 2:1 degree in a Business, Information Systems or Computing related subject, along with a genuine interest in pursuing a management career in the water industry.You'll be a great communicator, real team player and keen to learn.
