Whilst this is therefore a challenging role, it also provides an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to - become an integral member of a strong and dynamic team, make a real difference, and access excellent development support.The ideal candidate for this role is likely to have the following characteristics and experiences: 'Expert' - skills in research and analytics as well as strong financial/commercial acumen. Experienced in identifying, planning and supporting the delivery of waste reduction, and increased value for money, across clinical and non-clinical activities, processes and systems. Likely to be CCAB qualified or equivalent.'Team Player' - an ability to take the initiative and work independently, whilst also being able to identify and manage stakeholders and work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.'Drive Value' for patients and the tax payer - although CIP (Cost Improvement Program) reporting and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements are a core function of this role, an ability to identify and support the identification of corrective actions and solutions is key.'Make Change Happen' - this is not about project managing others but being proactive at identifying and unblocking barriers to change, as well as leading positive change. Project management is not essential but an understanding of how controls and processes can help effective project and risk management would be desirable. The Team - the Programme Support Office (PSO) operates to support the organisation, to bring sustainability to the high quality health and care services we provide.
