You'll already know if you're the right person for this job. You'll be THE BEST in your tech team, and know you're more capable than most of your colleagues. You'll be a little frustrated about the lack of progress, and the lack of technical excitement. You'll be craving more. You'll perhaps be online at night reading blogs to keep up to date on IT Security trends, and emerging threats. You'll maybe know that you want to spend your career in IT security.
