Your new organisation is a forward thinking, developing housing provider and offers great opportunities to develop your skills.Your new roleAs a housing officer you will be working on a full time, temporary basis for 6 weeks with a possible extension. As a housing officer you will be managing a patch of properties in Bristol covering a patch of around 700 properties. As a housing officer you will be managing tenancy sign ups, rent arrears and ASB management. You will be carrying out property management, property inspections and carrying out inspections of communal areas. As a housing officer you will directly manage mutual exchanges, developing links with specialist providers and signpost when necessary. As a housing officer you will deal with tenancy queries and carry out property inspections, ensuring maintenance of the building is of quality and any complaints are dealt with. You will work closely with the tenancy management team ensuring tenancies are sustained and also with the tenancy involvement team, advising if a service user is in need of extra care through volunteering schemes.What you'll need to succeedTo be a successful housing officer you must have up to date knowledge of social housing and previous experience in a similar role is essential. To be a successful housing officer you must have good communication skills and be able to deal with challenging situations. As a housing officer you must have a driving license and access to a car.
