We predominantly supply kitchen, bathroom and bedroom furniture into the new build and affordable housing sector but we also have a number of retail brands, which are sold in independent retailers throughout the UK. In addition, we manufacture furniture for builders' merchants, large DIY stores and directly to individual customers. Reporting into the Finance Director, you will define and implement robust purchasing and sourcing strategies to support the Moores Furniture Group Ltd business strategy. The Supply Chain function provides the main interface between Production and the external supply base, developing and building strong relationships and driving process improvements throughout the supply chain. Areas of Responsibility include: Inventory management, Distribution, S&OP, Supply Planning, Demand Planning Leading and developing the Category Buying Teams and Supply Planning Teams to achieve the sourcing strategy and create flexible experts and team succession Identify areas of improvement by monitoring and analysing the existing supply chain management system Analyse spend, identifying areas to reduce and avoid cost Develop Performance Indicators to ensure delivery of the team performance Conduct regular reviews and implement supply strategies where existing vendors are no longer competitive Introduce process to manage overall material scheduling, quality and lead times Ensure performance measurements are in place with suppliers whilst developing strong working relationships Work cross functionally and collaboratively with department heads to ensure lead times are communicated and On Time In Full (OTIF) is on track and achieved Ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable and safety stock levels. Coordinate with Finance on matters involving inventory-carrying costs. Responsible for sourcing and supplying raw materials, direct 'bought in' goods, utilities and outside services, as well as coordinating global procurement activities Liaise with Marketing & Finance to create life cycle cost studies Act as the company contact and spokesperson for suppliers Ensure all cost, pricing, contract flow downs, and 'responsible sourcing' activities are conducted according to legislation Ensure that we have robust supply chain contracts that facilitate effective performance and mitigate risk Previous Experience & Key Skills: Degree level education or CIPS qualified Strong IT skills including; S&OP, Project Management skills and ExcelExperience of working within an integrated Supply Chain Experience in Supply and Demand PlanningExperience of Supply Chain planning processes - MRPUnderstanding of Manufacturing Production processes and relevant legislation Proven leadership and management experienceProject Management and process improvement experience Your Benefits Package includes: Company Car, Private Healthcare, 75% Staff Discount, Company Pension, 25 days Holiday plus bank holidays (option to buy up to 5 extra days), Free Parking, On-site subsidised Canteens, Rewards & Recognition Scheme
