Apply now Aurora resourcing are working with a Children's Service in South East Devon to recruit a Head of Service for their Single Assessment MASH Team. This is a perfect opportunity for a Qualified Social Worker with Senior Management experience to take the reins of this stable MASH Team. As a head of service you would have the opportunity to work with a dedicated and established team of experienced professionals from Social Care, the Police, Health, and Education; and build on the improvements made in the delivery of front door children's safeguarding services for this Local Authority. You will be in charge of the operational aspects of the MASH with a strong multi agency partnership including 2 FTE social work team managers. You will also manage the Single Assessment service which has 3 Team managers each with 4 social workers. You will be responsible for ensuring that high quality services are delivered to children and families, be committed to ensuring that the safeguarding of children is at the centre of all practice and working closely with partner agencies to achieve delivery of services that are child focused and of good quality. For those who do not live in the area relocation package up to £10,000 is offered. To be eligible for the role you will be: A UK Registered Social Worker with experience at a management level of children's servicesA confident, motivated leader looking to make a positive impact within children's servicesAble to relocate to the South Devon Area or be within a commutable distanceHave excellent knowledge and understanding of the operational management of Single Assessment and MASH Teams or a similar Children's service.
