There is opportunity for this role to turn permanent but due to the initial short-term nature of the role they need an experienced event marketer to come in and lead the team on this series of events. The Head of Marketing will lead, train, and develop a team of four marketers to drive campaign metrics around event sign ups, sponsorship/visitor numbers, digital audience growth, and sales leads generated. The company are going through a period of change and they need a very competent event marketer with leadership experience to come in, own the current campaign plan and execute growth. The successful candidate will be commercially astute, data-driven, analytically-minded and have a drive to grow the turnover and profitability of the business division. Responsibilities for the position of Head of Marketing include: Creating and designing the marketing strategy that will support revenue growth plansManaging, training and motivating a team of four marketing professionalsInstilling a data-driven marketing approach to the existing marketing teamDefining and owning the product roadmap for the new website launchDefining the customer personas and their journeysEnhancing the quantity and quality of marketing channels utilisedRunning regular customer and competitor analysis to continue to develop and improve the events portfolioRegularly analysing overall channel and campaign performance to enable changes to push successForging a strong relationship with the sales team Requirements for the role of Head of Marketing: Worked for a global B2B events organisationProven success of managing an events marketing divisionClear understanding of the latest marketing techniquesOwned and forecasted a sizeable marketing budgetBe a data-driven, analytics first marketerSenior level stakeholder management experience The Company: This established FTSE 250 business are currently undergoing a huge digital transformation to improve their offering.
