Apply on employer's website Summary Over the last 10 years the visitor numbers have doubled at Charlecote Park to over 220,000 every year, causing our infrastructure to creek at the seams. To address this we're 12 months into the £2.7m Visitor Infrastructure Project (Charlecote VIP) focused on expanding our facilities, including opening an additional café, to cope with the demand. We are looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager who understands the importance of great service and can maximise the potential of this new opportunity, through excellent organisation and planning. You'll want to make a difference by helping shape the future of the food & beverage offer at Charlecote Park. What it's like to work here Overlooking the river Avon on the edge of Shakespeare's Stratford, Charlecote Park has been part of this corner of rural Warwickshire for centuries. Today the house is still run by the Lucy family and has been in the family for 900 years where it has been filled with treasures of European travels. Outside the parkland, inspired by 'Capability' Brown is home to herds of Jacob sheep and fallow deer. Our food and beverage offer includes the Orangery Tearoom offering 56 covers serving a full menu from lunch, cakes and of course the famous NT cream scones We also have 2 further pop up outlets to help manage demand at our busiest times. We are in the design and planning stage for our new café as part of Charlecote VIP. This will see our indoor covered seating double from 56 to 120 and a new production kitchen to support all our catering outlets. As the National Trust we really understand the importance of locally responsibly sourced ingredients. We have recently been awarded the Bronze-level Food for Life recognising this. Where possible we use the produce grown in our walled kitchen garden to support this. As an organisation we are continually looking for ways to improve our sourcing standards, supply chain and food offer. What you'll be doing As Food & Beverage Manager at Charlecote Park you'll oversee the entire catering operation. Using your innovation and expertise you'll develop and drive this operation forward with Charlecote VIP at the forefront of your mind. Using your passion for food and your excellent leadership you'll use this opportunity to review our offer at Charlecote, ensuring we offer the right product, in the right location at the right time. You'll inspire and motivate your team to deliver great results and exceed customer's expectations through this period of change and beyond. You'll also be playing your part in making sure this special place is looked after so that it can be available for ever, for everyone. The profit that the food and beverage operation generates enables The National Trust look to after a whole range of special places. We restore them, protect them and open them up to everyone. Working with your team and other property teams you'll look for commercial opportunities to strengthen our financial sustainability. You'll instil a culture of exceptional customer service and ensure we provide an excellent food and beverage offer using our local produce. You'll work with your team to engage with our visitors and help them understand the importance of the work that goes on at Charlecote Park. You'll combine your expertise and experience, to look for efficiencies in our operation. You'll deliver ongoing improvements across a set of KPIs including financial budgets, labour, GP and net contribution targets, visitor enjoyment, staff and volunteer recommendation measures. You'll always be looking for improvements to be made by a continuous cycle of review, implement, consolidate and grow.
