Apply now Flavour Applications technologist Location: Clevedon, North SomersetSalary: £22K - £24K, DOEContract: Full time, FTC 1 year for maternity cover starting April 2018 The Role - Flavour Applications technologist Reporting to the Technical Director this role is working with a wide range of food and beverage products to deliver product development solutions against product briefs and to undertake specific research and innovation projects. The role is fast paced, demanding and diverse, and will allow exposure to most sectors of the food and beverage industry. You will need to be an excellent communicator, with attention to detail and a passion for food to be successful in this role. Working closely with internal commercial and marketing teams you'll actively seek out gaps in the competitive market, keeping up to date with key trends and deliver exciting new products as well as refreshing the existing lines. Main Responsibilities: Prepare samples for internal and external presentations and tastings.Ensuring that all samples produced for assessment internally and externally are safe for consumption and produced in an accurate manner.Present product samples to customers with the required supporting data.Replicate a wide range of commercially available food products in which to test flavourings.Reproduce customers' products accurately to the recipe provided.Organise and participate in taste panels The Person We are looking for a bright and ambitious individual with a food science or culinary arts background. You must be happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in, have excellent presentation and project management skills as well as having first class communication skills as you'll be working with internal teams in a pressurised environment.
