Apply now We are recruiting an Events Fundraiser to join a leading national health charity. You will get the opportunity to manage the promotion, organisation and delivery of running and challenge events and grow fundraising income and supporter base. The charity has some large corporate and community partnerships, a significant presence at all the major challenge events, a consistent supporter care programme and an ever-growing trusts and major donors programme. The latest jewel in the crown is the charitys very own bespoke running event which takes in some of the most iconic landmarks in London. This has been met with much excitement and public places for the inaugural event in 2018 sold out in just 7 minutes.Anyone joining this team will enjoy the benefit of a highly supportive CEO, board of trustees and fundraising board.The RoleThis role involves management of at least two mass participation sporting events and delivering on all objectives associated with these events. For example, the Great North Run, Edinburgh Marathon, Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100, Nightrider, British 10K. Leading on the recruitment of participants Increasing volume and value of own place participants Creating income and expenditure projections for each event and keep detailed and accurate recordsDeveloping detailed marketing and communications plansDeveloping detailed time schedules to deliver each event on the dayUpdating and developing web content and ensuring that all forms of web and social media channels are utilised for each eventActing as the main point of liaison for third party event organisers; providing them with materials, assistance and support.The CandidateWith strong organisational skills, you will have a good understanding of raising income from running and challenge events. You will be a real team-player and a flexible and pro-active approach.Relevant experience in a similar role with responsibility for generating fundraising incomeExperienced in organising and promoting challenge events within the charity sectorExperience of developing and maintaining positive donor journeys especially in relation to challenge event fundraisingAmbitious in terms of meeting and exceeding recruitment and income targetsExcellent attention to detail and a process driven approachExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal) Database skills (preferably Raisers Edge but not essential)IMPORTANT NOTEOur aim is to respond to all successful applications within 5 days.
