Client Details My client is part of a global corporation and are currently investing heavily after some substantial client wins. They are looking for people with experience in supervision or management of a technical team and/or production who are used to setting their own structure and KPI's based on business expectations. Description As the Engineering Manager you will effectively deploy a team of technicians with the aim of: Prepares capital appropriation requests and is responsible for administering the approved project capital. Aids in the development and implementation of capital budget.Establish and optimise manufacturing processes, methods and procedures to assure product performance, quality and cost effectiveness.To effectively manage and develop reporting team members.Resource planning and executionCoordinates and directs departmental technical training for the operation as needed.Participate in the validation process for new moulding processes, machines and equipment.Participate on new product development teams insuring new products that are brought to market are capable of being manufactured to accepted specifications.Work to develop corrective and preventive actions on systemic problems for processes in your respective area of responsibility.Provides technical assistance and expertise to your team in problematic situations, implementing corrective action and provide training as required.Provides cost estimates, technical information, including, feasibility, design considerations and material selection.Is responsible to manage and lead team projects as assigned.Is responsible for machine breakdown, efficiencies of machinery and equipment, PPM's and scrap levels within assigned shift.To liaise with Engineering Department to compile accurate technical downtime reports outlining reasons and corrective actions.Is responsible for all Technical issues on shiftSafe, qualitative output meets the need of the production plan at optimal costTo be accountable for health and safety supervisory compliance in line with the regulations on Health & Safety at work in accordance with Company's Policies on Health and Safety. Profile The successful candidate will have a background in Engineering but will not be required to be hands on. You will be an experienced and capable manager and have the ability to set you own KPI's, introduce structure and take ownership of business objectives. Job Offer £37,000-£39,000 plus benefits and an active development plan.
