Apply now My Manchester based client who are leaders in non destructive instrumentation based around complex electronics and embedded systems are looking for an embedded software engineer to join the team. Software EngineerA Software Engineer is required to develop new industrial measurement devices.The successful applicant will work within the Research and Development Department, reporting tothe Product Development Manager. Job ResponsibilitiesThe Software Engineer will be responsible for embedded software design for new measurementproducts. There will also be a requirement for providing support to legacy products, both for newfeatures and bug fixing. The Software Engineer will be part of a large development team, but there will be times where theywill be expected to work independently on projects. The candidate will be expected to takeownership of understanding design requirements and be committed to the quality of codesubmitted to test. Key RequirementsEducated to degree level in Software Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 2 years experience in a software design role. Solid embedded software engineeringexperience in C for 8, 16 or 32 bit microcontrollers is required. Experience of RTOS would bebeneficial. Experience using IDEs, compilers, debuggers and version control applications would alsobe beneficial.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
