The new candidate will be joining a strong, highly motivated and successful team, who will play a critical role in the progression of the business. We are looking for an extremely motivated candidate, a highly energised individual who is passionate about their work and can develop and grow within the role.The role of the Electrical Design Engineer will include the following: Generate specification documentsSupport customer review meetings and provide on-site support as requiredTrial and test new equipmentValidate designs against product specifications to ensure all requirements have been achievedEnsure that all designs perform to best practice technology standards and are not over engineered for customer applicationsProduce technical electrical drawings for manufacturing following best practice and proceduresProduce BOM's which are clear, correct and handover to purchasingGood document control including drawing revisionAssist and support the manufacturing team during the buildsProvide Project Management with project and task status The suitable candidate for the Electrical Design Engineer role will need to possess the following competences: Degree or HND/HNC in a relevant discipline2 years proven experienceKnowledge of working in a practical electrical development environmentExperience in E-Plan Electrical will be advantageous, training will be provided if you have not used this specific packageThe ability to use mechanical CAD would be advantages but not essentialControl panel layout designBe able to create and write control specifications for new products or modification to existing productsTechnically astute with knowledge of Electronics, PC/PLC Control SystemsHave an understanding and the ability to generate accurate BOM'sAbility to overcome problems as they arise is important, as the ability to have self-discipline, motivation, and quick thinkingGeneral electrical / mechanical workshop equipment understanding is appreciated If you are interested in this Electrical Design Engineer role and you seek an exciting opportunity, then please click on the link to apply or contact Ed Smith - Automation Recruitment Specialist - or call
