ABOUT THE ROLE We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person with excellent retail skills, to take our Home and Indoor Living department into the future, so this is a perfect opportunity for the right candidate to really make their mark and grow with our business! As a department head you can make a real difference from day one as you will be involved in driving sales and maximising profits, creating stunning and stimulating visual displays, managing stock levels and motivating and developing your team. Using our in-house reporting tools, you will gain a real sense of ownership which allows you to work as a true entrepreneur. You will identify sales trends and use this information to constantly improve sales and profitability by optimising space productivity, replenishment, and merchandising. The customer is the focus of everything we do, so you will ensure that they always receive an exceptional level of service. ABOUT YOU To be the ideal candidate you will: have experience of working in a fast-paced retail environmentbe able to quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of Home products, and previous experience of this would be desirable but not essential.be a great communicator with an ability to motivate and lead your teamhave a can-do attitude with a passion for excellence in everything you dohave a track-record for achieving targets and KPIshave a meticulous eye for detail, ensuring that our high retail standards are consistently maintained in terms of product placement, presentation, visual elevation and overall look and feelpossess good commercial insight with an ability to take performance data and translate into sound retail action pointshave a clear understanding of the needs of our customers and constantly striving to ensure their expectations are always exceededbe organised and proactive and be able to plan ahead for seasonal and trend changesbe able to work well under pressure with high levels of focus and driveexcellent numeracy, literacy and computer skills.
