Apply now DEPUTY MANAGER - RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE - EBD THE PACKAGE SALARY: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum plus excellent company benefits and guaranteed funding for QCF Level 5 professional qualification after successful probation THE COMPANY This well established, high quality provider of therapeutic residential childcare has promoted their existing Deputy into a Registered Manager role. With a fantastic portfolio of existing services, this creative and pioneering organisation continues to grow at a steady pace to ensure high quality of provision. We now seek a Deputy Manager to help lead this lovely, residential home for children aged 12- 16 years (approx). The children have social, emotional and behavioural needs due to life experience (EBD). The home supports many sporting and activity interests, community events and healthy living along with promoting consistency and boundaries at all times. THE ROLE The Deputy Manager will provide quality care for a group of vulnerable children with social, emotional & behavioural difficulties, with day-to-day responsibility for managing, directing and supervising a staff team. You will hold your QCF/NVQ3 in Care (Children & Young People or Residential Child Care) or equivalent and be willing to work towards level 5 management qualification. Relevant experience in residential child care is essential. You will have a genuine desire to work with young people, able to engage positively with them, enjoy being in their company, undertaking activities and be passionate about enabling them to succeed. You will be a part of the shift pattern and the sleep in/on call rota for the service and be a fun, professional and motivated leader who keeps the best outcomes for the children paramount at all times.
