Apply now Job Title: Community Protection Officer (Environmental Services) Location: Long Stratton, Norfolk Salary: £25,951 - £29,323 per annum Job Type: Full Time, Permanent The Role: As Community Protection Officer you will provide an effective, efficient, customer facing service to support the health and wellbeing of communities on matters of community protection. Amongst other things, you will deal with nuisance, environmental crime and anti-social behaviour. Working with communities, you will encourage people to self-regulate and to deal with issues locally - you will need to be able to negotiate and seek effective outcomes to minimise interventions. We are keen to explore new ways of working and to embrace digital technology, aiding the effective use of resources by optimising systems and data to drive improvements. Responsibilities: Providing services in relation to community concerns. Such as; nuisance, environmental crime and anti-social behaviour issuesManaging caseloadActing as support to the Senior Community Protection OfficerWorking closely with a range of multiagency partners and the community Candidate: The successful candidate will possess a relevant qualification in an environmental discipline (or equivalent) and a willingness to learn. You will also need excellent verbal and written communication skills, be resilient and adaptable to seek solutions to complex community problems. A full driving licence is essential and this post is also subject to a satisfactory standard DBS check.
