We are recruiting a driven and dynamic Commercial Development Manager to support the development and execution of a cross category and geography buying strategy in order to ensure that maximum value is delivered from supplier relationships In this new and exciting role you will support development of the group buying strategy, deliver cross category initiatives from Electrocomponents Group strategy, ensuring a robust measurement capability for the commercial value extraction from our suppliers. You will develop a commercial exploitation plan for supplier information products and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure all key deliverables are met. Essential Skills: Proven experience in buying and category managementExperienced in developing, evaluating and shaping vision and strategies to be deployed across categories and GeographiesA collaborative team player across a business with fast moving, customer driven marketsExperience of using continuous improvement methodologies to deliver valueSuccessful supplier relationship management at senior levelsDemonstrates an excellent understanding of, and the ability to articulate, the RS Value PropositionProven track record in developing and managing product/category programme budgets.Educated to degree-level or equivalentConfident and effective communicator at all levels of the business and to various stakeholdersDemonstrates challenge in a positive and proactive manner that builds credibility and effectiveness across all areas of the businessStrong influencing skills About us as an employer We place a strong emphasis on investing in our people, our best asset, enabling them to be customer focused at all times and exceeding their expectations.
